Enam Atlet Anggar Siap Harumkan Nama Kota Kediri di Porprov Jatim VII

KOTA KEDIRI, BANGSAONLINE.com - Enam Atlet Cabang Olahraga Anggar Kota  siap tampil di ajang  ke-VII di Jember. Mereka diberangkatkan dari Kantor KONI Kota , Minggu (26/6/2022) malam.

Keenam atlet anggar itu adalah Athaya Bramantya Al Endra, Ery Bima Kusuma W, Hanan Zulhilmy Pradana, Asshafa Mayang Nuraini, Pricilla Aurelia C, dan Peqita Zulhilmy Pradana. Mereka ditarget bisa membawa pulang 1 medali perak dan 1 medali perunggu.

Ketua Harian Ikasi (Ikatan Anggar Seluruh Indonesia) Kota , Edi Susanto, mengatakan target itu diturunkan setelah pengurus melihat ketatnya persaingan anggar di porprov. Sebelumnya, Ikasi Kota  menargetkan 1 medali emas.

Adapun untuk memenuhi target 1 perak dan 1 perunggu itu, Ikasi Kota  sudah melaksanakan seleksi terhadap atlet anggar. Awalnya, ada 28 atlet yang mengikuti seleksi. Setelah melalui tahapan seleksi oleh tim pelatih, Ikasi Kota  hanya bisa mengirim enam atlet.

"Keenam Atlet Anggar Kota  tersebut akan mengikuti eegen (epee) beregu dan degen perorangan. Harapan kami, semoga Atlet Anggar Kota  bisa memenuhi target yang telah ditetapkan pengurus," kata Edi melalui aplikasi WhatsApp, Senin (27/6/2022).

Bahrul Alam, Pelatih Anggar Kota , mengatakan bahwa timnya akan berusaha untuk memenuhi target dalam  ke VII ini.

"Mohon doanya, meski cabang olahraga anggar masih tergolong baru di Kota , semoga kami bisa mencapai target yang ditetapkan oleh pengurus," harap Alam. (uji/mar)
